As of today Losing Georgia is ceasing to continue operation due to other projects that are consuming much of my time. It was not a hard decision to make considering that the project ended in December. Since that time I’ve tried to revive the project through several improvements to the website, however I can no longer spend time on maintenance or new material.
In the lapse of this event, I can finally start concentrating on drafting a coffee table book that will take the 5,000+ photographs and compile them into the Douglas Story that stared in 2005.
Thanks to all those who contributed to the project.

A series of updates will be coming soon to the Losing Georgia website hopefully by the end of the week. Since WordPress 2.5 was finally released today after many delays, testing is underway complete as the latest version conflicts with some features from plug-ins. For now, here is a list of updates that is planned.
- The Snippets feature will be going away for a more detailed news feed broken down by each county. So far the news coverage will be for Carroll and Douglas counties with possibility to include Paulding and Haralson. Information from local news agencies will be aggregated making daily posts easier. DONE!
- The Resource page will be revamped to breakdown include information on each county including stats, links and RSS feeds. DONE!
- Looking into building a store for selling prints online. This has been a feature that has been difficult to implement properly since the beginning of the project.
